Insomnia affects more than 70 million Americans, but experienced professionals capable of treating insomnia without sleeping medications are sparse. CBT-I is not the same old “Do’s and Don’ts” of good sleep hygiene. Research has proven that CBT-I programs are just as effective as medications in the short term and even more effective in the long term. Sleep Therapeutics’ CBT-I program combines a number of strategies specifically designed to address the factors that contribute to insomnia including but not limited to:

  • Actigraphy
  • Sleep Restriction
  • Stimulus Control
  • Sleep Hygiene
  • Mindfulness

The Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) program consists of 4 to 6 sessions with a clinical psychologist each lasting about an hour. We strongly recommend all clients who wish to partake in the CBT-I program to have an initial consultation with a board certified sleep physician to rule out the potential for additional sleep disorders.
